Nina Kimbrough has a heart for people. It is her desire to share her gifts and talents to make a positive impact on children and families.
Nina is a Trainer, Speaker, and an Outreach & Event Consultant. She grew up in the Kansas City area and went to Wichita State University, where she earned a BA in Communications/ Radio-TV-Film/ Journalism.
Twenty-five years ago, she left corporate America to work in non-profits. Prior to joining Johnson County Christmas Bureau, Nina was the Recruitment & Training Director for CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte County for over 16 years.
Nina has trained over 1100 volunteers and, in the community, has been asked to speakon various topics; including Volunteer Opportunities, Women's Empowerment, DR&I, and more. She has encouraged, informed, and enlightened thousands to become involved in community engagement.
Nina has created, planned, and executed several hundred successful trainings and events from concept to closeout. Her expertise in this area has allowed many business and non-profits to make an impact in their community, connect with business partners, raise needed funds, and serve individuals in need.
Nina leads a Woman's Impact Group and is very active in the community, including Boards, Educational Liaison, and Community Outreach Programs. She believes that positive programming helps develop high impact leaders with strong character, self-awareness, and leadership skills. Her passion is Mission work in the United State and abroad.
Nina has three adult children, a beautiful daughter-in-love, a son-in-love and three precious grand babies. She also has a 3-year-old fur-baby named Bentley!

Chandra Ward brings over a decade of diverse experience to her role as Administrative Assistant. With a proven track record in real estate, she adeptly manages client relationships, budgets, contracts, and deadlines. In her nonprofit work, Chandra oversees daily operations, fosters vendor relationships, handles financial tasks, and leads staff management and marketing efforts. A devoted wife and mother of two daughters, Tia and Lily, she cherishes family time, indulges in mystery novels and puzzles, and embraces travel adventures. Thrilled to join JCCB, Chandra eagerly anticipates collaborating with the organization's team and volunteers.
Since 1960, We have embraced & supported our neighbors in need and we hope with the community's continued support we have even more decades to come.
